MAMMA MIA

If you're an ABBA fan there's no better musical than MAMMA MIA! Playing at the Simi Valley Cultural Arts Center through October 20, 2019, with performances Friday and Saturday at 8 p.m. and Sunday at 2 p.m. this fun-filled show is full of mischievous fun and danceable antics.

MAMMA MIA! is the story of the love between a mother and a daughter, and three possible dads!

Young bride-to-be Sophie wants nothing more than to have her father give her away at her wedding. But there's a catch: She has no idea which of mom's three former boyfriends might be the guy.

Sophie decides to invite all three potential dads to her wedding at her mother Donna's Greek island villa, and that's just the beginning! More musical antics ensue as the men arrive, much to Donna's surprise and chagrin. After all, she wasn't the one who invited her former flames and she doesn't understand when they suddenly appear right before Sophie's wedding!

Leading the cast of MAMMA MIA! are Dana Weisman as Donna Sheridan and Tiana Cohen as Sophie Sheridan. Brandon Jeffords, Kelly Green and Philip McBride play Sophie's three possible dads Sam, Bill, and Harry. Michele McRae and Ariella Fiore portray Donna's sidekicks Tanya and Rosie, with Andrew Allen as Sophie's fiancé Sky. Sophie's best friends Ali and Lisa will be played by Kyle Green and Shelby Barry with Mathew San Jose and Michael Angel as Pepper and Eddie. Rounding out the cast is Caitlyn Rose Massey, Tori Cusack, Georgia Caines, Kendal Green, Mueen Jahan, Mikey Burson, Jordan Schneider, and Michael Dumas.

Dad Bill is a confirmed bachelor who just may find love! Dad Sam has been in love with Donna and the Greek villa she runs for over 20 years. Dad Harry is a wealthy – and gay – banker. Donna is a strong mom who is portrayed with spunk and enthusiasm. All three men step up to say they will walk Sophie down the aisle – but who is her actual father? The journey we take to find out is full of comedic wit and enthusiasm.

The show is a tale of enduring love and friendship – and it features beloved hit songs by ABBA, including "Dancing Queen," "S.O.S.," "The Winner Takes It All," "Take a Chance on Me," "I Do, I Do, I Do," "Slipping Through My Fingers," and, of course, the title tune "Mama Mia."

And don't forget Donna and the Dynamos! This all-girl band made up of Donna and her best friends Rosie and Tanya, rocks the stage with flashy disco costumes and fun-filled musicality and we all want to be part of it. You simply can't go wrong with the music in this show. You'll be singing and dancing along as each number is performed.

MAMMA MIA! runs through October 20, 2019. Friday & Saturday at 8 p.m., Sunday at 2 p.m. Thursday, October 17 at 8 p.m.
