Our beautiful hometown isn't just about our gorgeous weather or the beach – we play host to a huge variety of entertainment. Here are some hot up and coming performances and events where you can have an amazing experience.

Music Concerts

Who doesn't love a cool tune? Some incredible acts are coming to Los Angeles!

KISS is famous for their elaborate live performances, with fire breathing, blood-spitting, smoking guitars, shooting rockets, levitating drum kits, and pyrotechnics. Their make-up and costumes are reminiscent of comic book-style characters. Come check out these rock 'n' roll idols at Staples Center in Los Angeles on Sept. 20 at their final tour!

Jon Anderson is one of the most recognizable voices in progressive rock as the lead vocalist and creative force behind Yes. He most recently released a critically-acclaimed solo album entitled 'Survival and Other Stories'. He will be performing at The Canyon Montclair on Sept. 1.

Maná is a Mexican pop-rock band from Guadalajara, Jalisco that formed in 1986. They are considered the most successful Latin American band of all time with over 40 million albums sold worldwide. Get your Hispanic groove on at The Forum at Inglewood on Sept. 20 – 24.

With songs that have been described as reggaeton, Latin trap, and pop Maluma will be coming to The Forum at Inglewood on Sept. 7 – 8. And guess what? For $350 you can meet him in person at the show!

American Idol brought us country sensation Carrie Underwood. Her Cry Pretty Tour 360 lets fans enjoy her music with a visually stunning two-hour-long show featuring a total of 40 songs performed. Carrie Underwood comes to the Staples Center in Los Angeles on Sept. 12.

Marc Anthony's Opus Tour is coming to Staples Center in Los Angeles on Sept. 13. Marc Anthony carries the record for the most No. 1s on the Tropical Airplay chart as he collects his 31st leader with "Parecen Viernes."

Family is first with the mega pop trio The Jonas Brothers. The band consists of three brothers: Kevin Jonas, Joe Jonas, and Nick Jonas. They have sold over 17 million albums worldwide. "Sucker" was released on March 1 and became the 34th song in history to debut at number one on the Billboard Hot 100. Come and see them in Los Angeles! They will be playing at The Honda Center on Oct. 6, and The Hollywood Bowl on Oct. 20.

Rock icon Rod Stewart is performing at The Hollywood Bowl on Sept. 27! This tour is in support of the release of his 30th studio album Blood Red Roses. Critics and fans around the world are raving about this album collection.

In the 1970s, a new brand of pop music was born – one steeped in jazz and R&B. Earth, Wind & Fire embraced and helped bring about this evolution of pop. And now you can see this iconic group live! Earth, Wind, & Fire is arriving at The Hollywood Bowl on Sept. 13.

He's been dubbed "The Showman of Our Generation." And now Grammy, Emmy, and Tony Award winner Barry Manilow brings non-stop hits to the Hollywood Bowl stage on Sept. 6. for an unforgettable night with the Los Angeles Philharmonic.

Iron Maiden's Legacy of the Beast Tour is rocking out at the Banc of California Stadium on Sept. 14! Iron Maiden is an institution of heavy metal rock music. They have a ferocious dedication to their fans and a following that spans every culture and generation.

It's without question, that TOTO have are in a major resurgence. Their Greatest Hits package titled 40 Trips Around The Sun debuted at the top of the charts in eight different countries. TOTO will now conclude the almost two-year-long 40 Trips Around The Sun Tour with twenty final shows. The tour will kick off on Sept. 20 at The Wiltern in Los Angeles.

A Flock Of Seagulls are known for their bizarrely teased haircuts as well as their hit single ‘I Ran'. They were one of the prime movers in the 80's new wave era. A Flock of Seagulls come to The Greek Theatre on Sept. 6.

With over 30 million albums sold across the globe, Avril Lavigne is one of the most successful recording artists out there. The gifted singer-songwriter has released a string of wildly popular singles like "Complicated" and "Girlfriend." Avril Lavigne has released six studio albums. Her most recent album, "Head Above Water," dropped early this year and is the namesake of her upcoming tour. Avril Lavigne will arrive at The Greek Theatre on Sept 18.

Two of hip-hop and R&B's most legendary artists – Mary J. Blige and Nas – announced an epic final show to their co-headline summer tour at the famous Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles on Sept. 17. The hit-making heavyweights will be bringing a stacked setlist of songs spanning both of their careers.

Elton John's Farewell Yellow Brick Road Tour is coming to the Honda Center in Anaheim on Sept 10 and 11! Elton John is one of the most highly acclaimed and successful solo artists of all time. He has achieved 26 gold, 38 platinum or multi-platinum and 1 diamond albums, and has sold more than 300 million records worldwide. He also holds the record for the biggest selling single of all time, Candle In The Wind.

Sports in Los Angeles

The Los Angeles Staples Center is home to the LA Lakers. The Lakers are one of the most successful teams in the history of the NBA and have won 16 NBA championships, the second-most behind the Boston Celtics. The Lakers also hold the record for NBA's longest winning streak, 33 straight games, set during the 1971–72 season. 26 Hall of Famers has played for Los Angeles, while four have coached the team. Four Lakers – Abdul-Jabbar, Johnson, O'Neal, and Bryant – have won the NBA MVP Award for a total of eight awards. Upcoming games are listed at

The LA Clippers are based out of the Los Angeles Staples Center. The Clippers are a consistent playoff team with the nickname of "Lob City." In the 2012–13 and 2013–14 seasons, the franchise won its first division titles. They appeared in the playoffs seven times from 2012 to 2019. In 2019, the Clippers signed two-time NBA Finals Most Valuable Player Kawhi Leonard and traded a record number of draft picks for perennial NBA All-Star Paul George. Football season is here:

The LA Chargers moved to Los Angeles from San Diego in 2017. They are currently playing at the Dignity Health Sports Park in Carson where they will remain until the brand new LA Stadium at Hollywood Park comes to fruition. The regular season starts with Chargers vs. Indianapolis Colts on Sept. 8 and Chargers vs. Houston Texans on Sept. 22.

The LA Rams play their home games at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum. The Rams relocated back to Los Angeles for the 2016 NFL season. After their first season in Los Angeles, The Rams appeared in Super Bowl LIII, where they lost to the New England Patriots. Upcoming games include LA Rams vs. Carolina Panthers on Sept. 8, LA Rams vs. New Orleans Saints on Sept. 15.

Break out some stick with hockey:

The LA Kings recently celebrated their 50th anniversary. The Kings have won the Stanley Cup twice, once in 2012 and once in 2014. The mascot of the Kings is Bailey, a 6-foot lion (6-foot 4 inches with mane included) who wears No. 72 because that is the average temperature in Los Angeles.

Live Shows and Musicals

A theatrical or comedic performance can truly make for an exciting experience.

Over 35 million people have experienced the exciting show that is Blue Man Group. And now, the Blue Men come to Los Angeles for the very first time with their Speechless Tour. The Blue Men see the fun in your future and are here to reignite your senses. If you like normal, think again. Blue Man Group will be at the Pantages from Sept. 27 – Oct. 6.

Anastasia The Musical transports us from the twilight of the Russian Empire to the euphoria of Paris in the 1920s, as a brave young woman sets out to discover the mystery of her past. Pursued by a ruthless Soviet officer determined to silence her, Anya enlists the aid of a dashing conman and a lovable ex-aristocrat. Together, they embark on an epic adventure. Anastasia The Musical will be at the Pantages Oct. 8 – 16.

She was a girl from Boston with a voice from heaven, who shot through the stars from gospel choir to dance floor diva. The Donna Summer Musical will be at the Pantages Nov 5 – 24.

Funnyman Gabriel Iglesias will be at The Staples Center at the Beyond the Fluffy World Tour on Dec. 27. Iglesias is one of a handful of comedians to headline and sells out Staples Center,

Madison Square Garden, and the Sydney Opera House. In addition to being one of America's most successful stand-up comedians, Iglesias is also one of the most-watched comedians on YouTube with over 380,000,000 views and over 14 million fans across social media.

Join Mickey Mouse and his friends at Disney On Ice Presents Mickey's Search Party, a brand-new adventure filled with world-class skating, high-flying acrobatics, and unexpected stunts! Disney On Ice: Mickey's Search Party is at Staples Center Dec. 12 – 15, Honda Center Dec. 19 – 23, Long Beach Arena Dec 26 – 30, and Toyota Arena Jan 1 – 5.
