Exer Urgent Care
If you are sick or have an injury, you just want to feel better as soon as possible. But emergency rooms can be crowded as well as very expensive. And traditional walk-in urgent care clinics may lack on-site medical expertise and the diagnostic equipment that is needed to get you well right away.
That's why you should visit Exer Urgent Care. These clinics offer medical expertise with convenience and comfort. Exer Urgent Care can stabilize and treat 80 percent of the cases that are seen daily in a typical emergency room, with little-to-no-waiting and a fraction of the cost.
Exer was founded in 2013 with a common vision that some patients who are receiving care in an emergency room, could be better served in a more convenient, high-quality and affordable urgent care environment.
Exer Urgent Care clinics are staffed with emergency medicine board certified physicians. These doctors work hard to help get you feeling better, faster.
In California, nearly one-third of hospital ER visits are not true medical emergencies. Californians want quality healthcare that's affordable and is easy to access with minimal waiting. That's why Exer creates convenient access to ER doctors in affordable and caring environments.
"Exer Urgent Care Clinics are there for the patients who can't get an appointment with their own physician, or when they have something that needs to be addressed in a timely fashion like sprains, fractures, acute pain, and acute infections like colds or coughs," says Chief Medical Officer for Exer Urgent Care, Brian Wilbur M.D. "We're there to provide an on-demand, quick service which is a wonderful alternative to the emergency room."
The clinics are able to see patients of all ages, from babies to senior citizens. There is on-site X-Ray, IV, Lab, Splinting, Laceration Rooms, Diagnostics, and other on-site services at each location. Exer is designed for those whose conditions become urgent or serious but non-life threatening.
The doctors at Exer can handle anything, with robust laboratories with results in 10 minutes. They also offer a vast network of specialists and radiology outpatient centers to get patients to access to the care that they need.
"We are leading a movement in health care to bring accessible emergency medicine into communities to access the care they need when they need it most," says Dr. Wilbur. "It also eases the strain on local emergency departments. We are there to help patients and give them the quick, expedited care that they need."
Doctors enjoy working for Exer because they get to give more compassionate, personalized care. They are able to spend more quality time with the patients and to help explain each patient's individual case. Through the Exer Sports & Schools and Exer Physical Days, each Exer clinic works with its local community to cover the cost of a physical exam as required by schools and both Cub Scouts and Scouts BSA. Exer also offers complimentary flu shots to local teachers.
However, if you are having chest pain, have signs of a stroke (you are unable to move part of your body, your face is frozen or you are slurring your words), go to the Emergency Room. For any other issue that's not life-threatening, Exer Urgent Care can handle it or get you in the place that can. Issues range from simple colds, urinary tract infections, fractures and sprains, to abdominal pain. They get you better!
