Encino Moving

Packing up your whole life to move to a new home can be stressful and time-consuming. You want to make sure you use an ethical and efficient moving company. Encino Moving is that kind of company.

Owner Carlos Santiago opened Encino Moving's doors in 2008 as a delivery service. As they grew and expanded they started moving apartments, offices and homes. Now they will move almost any job – big or small, residential or commercial – within the state of California. Their fleet consists of five trucks. All our employees are background checked, honest reliable workers.

“We do movings, packing, delivery and provide storage,” says Carlos.” We'll move anything that’s very fragile to anything that heavy marble statues. We handle all your belongings as if they are our belongings – and we get the job done.”

Here are a few tips when you are planning a move. Organization is key. If you have something that's valuable to you, pack it first! That way it won't get damaged or lost. As well, it's better to keep small items contained within specific boxes. Write everything down! You'll thank yourself later. Have a plan for what you want moved. Take measurements of you’re furniture and your new home to have a place for all you’re furniture it will save you time and money on your move. Designate a color for each room in the new home, such as yellow for kitchen, orange for the dining room, etc. Apply colored stickers on the box near the box number. And don't forget, you'll need LOTS of boxes.

Let your movers do their job. Encino Moving can take care of anything that you need. If you have any specific instructions let your mover know and they will handle it – so you don't have to stress out. Encino Moving believes in communicating with their customer with all the specifics. Communication also makes it easier on the movers so that they can spend less time doing the physical stuff, and get your move done more smoothly and efficiently. Then they go above and beyond and take care of everything for you.

One way that Encino Moving sets itself apart is their honesty and transparency. After the initial three-hour minimum charge, they will only bill you by the hour and number of workers at your move. “A lot of companies try to make up hours and bill more to make more money,” says Carlos. “We don't do that. We try to save the customer money and finish up as quickly and carefully as possible.”

There are no hidden fees. Everything is included: Free insurance, furniture pads and dollies, all required tools, shrink wrap, assembly and disassembly, and wardrobe boxes.

It's stressful to move, and Encino Moving understands that. You have a lot going on and their job is to help you out and make the process as simple as possible. That attitude is what has caused the company to grow. Nearly all of the jobs they take on are via referral. Customers are impressed, and it shows. As well, if you have a last-minute move, Encino Moving will be there for you.

“Our customers are really glad how quickly we answer them,” says Carlos. “Sometimes it's a last minute move, and we're able to work with the customer to plan out their move. They are always really pleased with our service and how efficient we are. Everybody is happy with what we do.”
