Discover Cube Los Angeles

The educational centers of Discovery Cube make inspiring young minds their top priority. They engage children through science-based programs and exhibits, creating a meaningful impact for local communities.

This summer, Discover Cube Los Angeles is taking kids on animal-themed adventures with the Wild Kratts: Creature Power! museum exhibit and exploring the tools of a scientist in the Early Learners Science + You Exhibit.

In the Wild Kratts: Creature Power! museum exhibit children will join animal experts Chris and Martin Kratt and a cast of heroes and villains as they explore the secret lives of extraordinary creatures. Using Wild Kratts technology and the powers of science and collaboration, children will help the team solve problems and protect animals.

This traveling exhibit is based on the educational live action animated series Wild Kratts on PBS. It aims to educate children about biology, zoology, ecology and teach children how to make a big environmental impact in small ways. "The exhibit teaches children about different ecosystems, invites them to explore different habitats around the world and gets them introduced to different animals," says Sacha Van Voorhis, the Director of Discovery Cube Los Angeles. "They get to experience tropical rain forests, the Antartic, the Australian outback and even the ecosystem in our own neighborhood."

These diverse environments will immerse children and families in explorations of animals, habitats, and the relationships between them. Kids take on challenges and missions centered around the lives of animals and their creature powers. Using an inquiry-based approach, they can make investigations and observations, and apply what they learn in order to complete missions and challenges. Along the way, they join the Wild Kratts team to undermine villains Zach, Donita, Gourmand, and Paisley's nefarious plans, using Wild Kratts technology and the powers of science and teamwork to learn about and help animals.

Science + You let younger children ages 3 to 6 learn about human health and nutrition, scientific tools, and the methods scientists use for problem-solving, investigation, and experimentation. The program caters to the littlest learners with a solid base in the fundamentals. "It's designed to introduce them to basic science concepts and the life of a scientist," says Sacha. "They learn about tools that scientists use, and even put on lab coats."

The Wild Kratts and Science + You exhibits will be open in Discovery Cube Los Angeles through September 8, 2019.

Discovery Cube continues to grow through it's exciting and educational exhibits and programs. The exhibits at Discovery Cube are original and perfect for inspiration. "The philosophy behind Discovery Cube is to provide exposure to get kids interested," says Sacha. "Everything that we do is very hands-on and integrated, so we encourage children to learn by doing. Then we enforce that learning through our exhibits, learning stations, and field trip and outreach programs. We're hoping to spark that imagination and to get kids to ask questions."

Kids can learn and have fun at Discovery Cube's three campuses – Orange County, Los Angeles and OceanQuest in Newport Beach. For more information on Discovery Cube Los Angeles, call (866) 552-CUBE or visit
