Circus Vargas

Running away to the circus has never been so fun! Circus Vargas is coming to play in Los Angeles with an amazing entertainment extravaganza. Get ready to unleash your imagination and discover a world of magic and wonderment under the Big Top, where memories are made and cherished!

For owners and producers Katya and Nelson Quiroga, Circus Vargas is a family tradition. Katya is a 7th generation circus performer and trained in classical ballet, and her husband is a 4th generation circus performer specializing on the flying trapeze. Katya worked originally as a juggler and aerial artist for the show along with her family, but after marrying Nelson, switched to performing with him on the flying trapeze. Nelson has performed several dangerous acts alongside his brother Alberto, including the renowned Flying Tabares which in 2004 was awarded the “Golden Clown” statuette at the prestigious Festival International du Cirque de Monte-Carlo. The couple purchased the Circus in 2005 and are inspiring the allure of a traveling circus to a whole new generation! And they are keeping the family tradition alive. Two of their three daughters perform in the show – one is a contortionist and hand balancer and the other is a flying trapeze artist.

Circus Vargas 2018 offers up an whirlwind cast of performers from all over the world! Death-Defying Acrobats, Daredevils, Flying Trapeze Artists, Jugglers, Contortionists, Comedians, Clowns, Motorcycles and much, much, more! The show is always fresh, and exciting. It is also unique because it is totally animal free. As well, there is a different theme to the show every year. Past themes have included Rain Forest, Broadway, Illumination, Steampunk and Magic. This year's theme is Circus Vargas’ Dreaming of Pirates.

“We create an amazing production with interactivity and a brand new storyline to keep our audience captivated,” says Katya. “Every year we have a totally new show – if you saw us last year you'll see something totally different this year.”

And there's more: Arrive 45 minutes early for an entertaining, interactive pre-show celebration, where kids can create their own magic under the big top, learning circus skills such as juggling, balancing and more!

After the performance, you can meet and mingle with the entire cast. Capture the fun by posing for pics or selfies with your favorite cast members – it's all part of the unforgettable Circus Vargas experience!

Circus Vargas performance dates are April 19 – Monday, May 7 at 777 N. Front St, Burbank and Thursday, May 10 – Monday, May 21 in Westfield Promenade, 6100 Topanga Canyon Blvd, Woodland Hills.
